Kathryn returned from the Domincan Republic on the evening of April 17th!
Amelia made these signs to take to the airport:
The very next morning Darryl, Amanda, Kathryn and Amelia
drove from Utah to Chico.
Kathryn spoke in the Chico 1st Ward Sacrament meeting the next morning
and we were able to be there!
They spent some time visiting friends from the area and even took a
walk in the walnut orchards at Deseret Farms. They lived there for 5 years.
It included a trip to the Sacramento temple
and doing sealings with Grandpa after an endowment session.
Grandpa took these right before they left...
...and then he took one afterwards!
We enjoyed hearing about missions:
They also got to spend a fun time at the Perrys for dinner and activities:
And we got started on this movie:
We had some interesting weather while they were here and Amanda sent these photos from their drive home on Wednesday, April 22nd:
David and Jacob have been going to the temple regularly
and we love when they stop by afterwards!
Sopie is taking a photography class and she earned this award....
...for this photo!
Joshua is keeping busy at college but he did have time to get a haircut,
and here's how he let his parents know about it!
David looks sharp in his piano tie and suspenders!
We love listening to him play the piano!
He recently had a band event all day on Saturday, April 25th in San Jose.
What are the odds?!
It was held at Del Mar High School!
When I texted him that that was my high school, he sent me a couple of photos.
The percussion group from the band.
I texted him back with this picture of me speaking at my graduation near those same steps 58 years ago!
Here I am with my family afterwards
Kathryn has been so excited returning from her mission.
I love that she posted this: Her two favorite things--family and the temple!
Meanwhile Heidi was in Utah picking up Sarah
after finishing her first year of college!
I love that she posted some photos of the highlights of her freshman year.
Here are a few of her pictures.
Such a great year for her and even hiking to the "Y!"
From Amanda:
"We went to a Charge Syndrome event on Saturday. It was really awesome to meet these kids and their families! Nathaniel was the oldest and we were reminded how far he has come. We don’t have as many appointments as we once did. He can communicate so much better. He doesn’t need many suctions. He isn’t getting sick as frequently. So may things have improved."
Family dinner in Clinton on April 26th.
Thanks to Darryl for sending these photos of the fun!
While Heidi was in Utah she got to spend some time
with her 3 daughters and her 2 grandchildren.
They made great memories!
Lilian in a dress her great grandmother McClellan had made for Courtney when she was a baby!
A hike at Bridal Veil Falls:
A hike at Bridal Veil Falls:
A visit to Temple Square:
A visit to Snelgrove's Ice Cream:
And they got to visit the Melanchuk's new home and attend their ward.
It was so special for us to be able to participate in the Farmington 18th Ward Sacrament meeting on April 26th.
Amelia's farewell talk and Kathryn's homecoming talk.

We have an amazing posterity!
