Backpacking in Colorado!

Jeff's family did a backpacking trip in Colorado this summer.
They spent a lot of time preparing ahead of time for the hiking and the altitude.  They were each carrying a pack of about 25 pounds.  They saw some beautiful scenery and camped near a waterfall for the night.  Here are some pictures they shared with us:
There is a bear in this picture!
Sam hiked all the way up to Crater Lake and took these shots:
Meanwhile John's family was able to finish their river rafting puzzle!

Grandpa Ricks Celebration Weekend!

The program for the funeral:
Saying goodbye...
The burial...
...including military honors.
The Bates family
The Harrison family
The sisters (can't remember what was making us smile and laugh...
...but it might have been about re-creating this photo!)
The headstone has not yet been placed/updated but this is the spot.
The Wismers hosted us to meals and snacks...
Our family had a fun evening a Ibach park near Plum Court
And another day we all bought lunch at different places (Pizza, Panda and Panera) and met at Cook Park in Tigard, Oregon.  A man had bubble solution and a giant wand.  It entertained all of us for a very long time!
It was nice on Sunday to stop at the Portland Temple.
Grandpa worked there for 13 years and said it was one of the greatest experiences of his life.
Families are forever!
