"Leave" The Work To Us!

Grandpa had fun raking leaves with Kathryn, Amelia and Daniel!

I think it wore him out!
No!  He's just playing!!
Kathryn had such a good time that she said as soon as we were done she was going to go in the house and write a poem about it.   Here is what she wrote:

At Grandma's House When We Raked Leaves
by Kathryn Melanchuk

We started right after breakfast.
There were thousands!
And we began!
We started raking but still more leaves have come.
So we have raked more leaves,
And it was so much fun!

'Twas...

And one thing I am not doing is working in the kitchen!
The turkey will cook itself tomorrow, the cranberry sauce is made, and a fruit salad is ready and since cooking is not my forte anyway, I am more concerned about other things.
Must have cute decorations!
And handmade name place cards!
Getting some games ready.  I stole this one from my creative sister!
And we will play a fun game in which everyone gets one of these gifts!
Have yummy favors for everyone!
And take-home treat bags...
...for these darling grandkids!
 Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

11/11/11 Randomness!

Today we babysat some of our granchildren and took them to the park.
Then to make this special day fun we had a snack at 11 minutes past 11:00 on 11/11/11!

When Brian and MaryAnn returned we accompanied them on an errand to the Verizon store.  Here is how we kept the kids busy for
the very long time it always takes at that place:
Has everyone been noticing that we can see Jupiter right now?  Look just to the right of the moon!
And to keep this post even more random, here is a picture of the centerpieces from our Relief Society "Holiday" dinner:
Apples, pumpkins and Christmas ornaments and greenery.  Our ward doesn't like to have a dinner in December when "everyone is too busy" so they have it in November.  There were lighted Christmas trees all around with big pumpkins by them.  It was all very nice but I miss the Christmasy feeling of December.
But I do love seeing these little birds out my window!

Never Too Old!

My Dad has taken up a new hobby!  Look what he does every Tuesday...weather permitting:
