This and That in May, Part 2!

Lots of end of the school year activities.

Bethany made this roller coaster out of just paper and tape!

(I have a video to prove it works too!)

Here she is with Lilian.

Amelia celebrated her 19th birthday during

 Home MTC on May 16th.

We got to talk to her that day!

And then on May 21st she headed to the Mexico MTC!

Michael finished up his soccer season and was a real asset to the team.

Nathaniel graduated from 6th grade!

Family dinner was at the Melanchuks on May 16th

 so that made Amelia's birthday extra special.

We had David and Jacob here one evening after the baptistry

 for dinner and treats and games.

I enjoyed being outside and seeing some of our pretty flowers.

Elizabeth finished her job as an In-Field Mentor for Missionaries.

Camille continues to crochet and made this Bow Bag.

  So cute!

MaryAnn must be the most fun Primary teacher!

Her class got to march around these Walls of Jericho.

Memorial Day morning and Grandpa worked in the temple.

We loved seeing the flags lining the road!

In the evening we had our FHE group.  The hosts gave us a Memorial Day Quiz.

Here are some of the questions with answers at the end of the post.

The Melanchuks volunteered to place flags on Veteran's graves

 at a cemetery in Kaysville.

The McClellans played Koob and I understand

 there was some fighting over rules, etc. Family fun for sure!

Feeling patriotic and excited for the 4th of July this year!

This and That in May, Part 1!

Amelia was set apart as a full time missionary and started Home MTC!

There are six sisters in her district and her companion is from St. Cloud, Florida.

It's one of the closest cities to the ranch where they lived for several years!

Lots of study time!

Exercise includes a walk:

Aubrey had her band concert!

She plays saxophone in the Jazz Band!

Katie received her endowment at the Syracuse Temple!

What a special day for their family!

Daniel has been doing well in track.

Earlier in the month he participated in a track meet at BYU!

Amanda, Kathryn and Amelia were all there.

The track meet included college athletes as well

 and Amanda said Daniel enjoyed watching them.

He recently won the 100 and 400 for the JV region

 and his 4 X 200 relay team got 6th place.

He also runs varsity and qualified for the state track meet again at BYU.

(I hope I got all of this right)

Caleb and Lilian are excited about our family reunion!

Elizabeth and her parents got to spend almost a week in Georgia!

It was a return to the mission field for Elizabeth and also to see some new places.

This is at Centennial Olympic Park--the Center of the Atlanta Olympics Summer 1996.

They also visited Savannah and the Atlantic Ocean which was new for them.

Special friends!

Elizabeth's mission president encouraged them to be out in public

 even when studying or planning.

This is one of the Wendy's where she spent a lot of time!

More fun from the trip!

Amanda had a special day!  

She took a group of Primary children to sing at a Senior home in their stake.  

Back at home breakfast was yogurt parfaits!

The snack was chocolate strawberries!

Andrea got the game Flip 7 which was mentioned last month on the blog.

They said it was fun!

I received this invitation from MaryAnn. I had such a nice day enjoying our Church meetings, Relief Society brunch, phone calls and text messages, cards and gifts and this fun time at the Perrys! 

There were lots of pretty flowers as decorations.

These were Hannah's that she received as a teacher appreciation.

We played some games and enjoyed visiting.

We had yummy meal with enchiladas prepared by Brian

This was our decadent dessert!

After dinner we visited with Joshua on FaceTime.

 

Cute ducklings hatched in John's yard.

Unfortunately on their walk with Mom and with John following them, 

they fell into a storm drain.

With the help of neighbors they were able to get them out!

And happy day, this announcement arrived!
