Canadian Rockies: Victoria!

We traveled by ferry to Vancouver Island and drove down to Victoria

We stopped to see Shannon Falls

We stayed at the Oak Bay Beach Resort hotel right on the water

Our tour of Victoria included the Royal British Columbia Museum featuring this exhibit

Then early Saturday morning we got on the ferry...

...and headed back to the United States!

Barkerville: "Barkerville was the main town of the Cariboo Gold Rush in British Columbia.  In 1957, the government of British Columbia decided that the town should be restored and operated as a tourist attraction. Today, Barkerville appears as it did in its heyday and is referred to as Barkerville Historic Town. The history of each building has been researched and documented."
