This and That in July, Part 2!

 

Lots of trips as well as other things in the last part of this month.   

 Sarah kept track of all the license plates from the US states.

I was very impressed that they found all 50 with the last one being Hawaii and visited 10 states in 10 days!

Interesting that people from three of our families visited Niagara Falls this summer!

Meanwhile, Nathaniel used his birthday money to buy himself a scripture quad.

The Melanchuks first picked up Daniel in Wenatchee, Washington

 after Church and headed to Idaho.

They were at a home near Sand Point

 on Lake  Pend Oreille, the largest lake in Idaho!

They had lots of fun inside and out!

They had only been home one day

 when Amanda drove Amelia to Rexburg.

Amelia said things are going well and

 she likes walking to the temple and the library.

Kathryn is now in a threesome in Licey just outside of Santiago.

Caleb has been having a fun summer

 while waiting for his baby sister to get here!

We had a couple of birthdays.

Eleanor turned 20...

...her cat, Prometheus, turned 1...

...and Peter turned 18!

Andrea's father passed away this week.

Here he is with her on her wedding day.

He was a great father and grandfather

 and just great in all aspects of his life!

We visited our friends, the Hansens, 

from our old Family Home Evening group.

They recently entered an assisted living facility

 due to health concerns.

We have also been watching all of the Signed, Sealed and Delivered

 episodes and movies in order,

 so we could then watch the new one that just came out.

 A movie to start, then 10 episodes and then 14 more movies.

It has been so fun as we love these shows!

John, Sara, Aubrey and Bethany on a trip to Everett, Washington.

I have had fun keeping track of everyone's travels these past few weeks and am always amazed when I see my sisters on their missions!

Amanda went on a historical walk to several homes from the early days.

Three cities were settled in 1847: Salt Lake City, Bountiful and Farmington!

 doing most of the work themselves!

Family Sunday Dinner this month was at the Melanchuks.

Sarah and Camille got stocked up at the Nifty Nut house for their trip coming up.

Camille is doing some crochet projects...

...and she made some pizzas which included

 homemade dough and homemade pizza sauce!

The Perrys went on a trip to southern California.

They enjoyed serving in the Los Angeles temple!

They spent some time at tidepools!

They had dinner at Medieval Times for Brian's birthday!

And a visit to the San Diego Zoo!

Joshua spent two days and a night on the UCLA campus for orientation.

He got registered for classes

 and made new friends including some out-of-state students

 he took to In and Out for their first time!

The McClellans are on a Church history trip.

First stop was Liberty Jail...

...and the next morning the St. Louis Arch!

As they are heading east they did a couple of fun things:

Miniature Golf at a Bible-themed course in Lexington, Kentucky.

Each hole had a scripture.  Heidi said they had lots of fun!

They took a thoroughbred horse tour

 which included the Keeneland Race track and some horse farms.

They saw horses training at the racetrack, 

and mares and babies at one of the farms.

At 18 months many are sold for over a million dollars!

July is always a fun month--if you can stay cool!
