Lucky #13!

Cami is our 13th granddaughter! And she is really lucky!!! She has three wonderful sisters who adore her and love to hold her. Heidi was busy this evening printing off photos so the girls could share them with all their friends and teachers at school. Everyone is excited around here!

The baby was born in the early morning of January 19th. They called us at past 12:30 a.m. to say they were leaving for the hospital and then Heidi called before 2:00 a.m. to announce her arrival! I'm just about to head to the airport on my weeks-ago planned trip. Good planning!

Heidi is on the final countdown for her next baby to be born. It should be sometime in the next two weeks. She has such sweet babies and she is such a good mother!

Not Again!

It's only been one year since Mervyn's went out of business. I feel badly about my contribution to its demise. The store still sits empty here in Folsom. And now I think I may be partly responsible for another tragedy. This was a headline in our newspaper yesterday:

We had a wonderful store here in Sacramento called Wishing Well that I started shopping at in 1973. This was the main location in downtown Sacramento where we first began our love affair:

Then when we moved East I was delighted to find that there was one in nearby Rancho Cordova! I spent many hours shopping at Wishing Well for party supplies and craft and decoration supplies. I truly lived by Murphy's Law making at least three trips there for every project. It was different than Michaels, Party City, etc. It had it's own unique products and great prices! For some reason it was always exciting to me to shop there and to try to find something special when I wanted to decorate for a holiday. Thanks for the memories! You contributed to the good feeling in our home!!
