A Fun Fall Week: At Home!

Magna tiles are fun!
The girls called this an apartment complex.
Hmmm, I wonder where they live?
One day a tall tower with planks:
The next day a tower that touched the ceiling!
Bethany got to knock it down with a small soft ball.
Parents can have fun after the kids go to bed!
Marble run!
Halloween crafts!
And of course, puzzles!
Thanks for coming!

A Fun Fall Week: With the Perry Family!

We got to see a lot of the Perry family.
They have a fun Karaoke machine with a microphone.
We played a fun donut game:
John was the fastest!
Pizza for dinner!
What are they all looking at?
Projections on the ceiling!
It was mesmerizing.
Just about to leave for the Trunk or Treat.
With her arms out, Bethany looks like a zombie pioneer!
Cinderalla, pioneer girl, ballet dancer, dragon, Simba the lion and Harry Potter.
The Perrys came for dinner on Sunday.
Everyone had a great time...
...including the adults!
Thanks to the Perry family!

A Fun Fall Week: Apple Hill and Fish Hatchery!

We made a trip up to Apple Hill.
We got apples, donuts and a pie!
Then we visited a ranch that had a pumpkin patch
and each girl got a small pumpkin to take home.
The next day was a trip to the Nimbus Fish Hatchery.
Feeding Chinook Salmon and Steelhead Trout.
The Visitor's Center where there are interesting things to learn such as:
They release 4 million salmon and 430,000 trout each year into the
American River.
It was a little early to see the fish going up the ladder returning to their birthplace to spawn.  Here is what you might see in a few weeks.
More Fall fun!

A Fun Fall Week: Calaveras Big Trees!

We spent a full day at Calaveras Big Trees.
This is a favorite photo.
The girth of these trees is amazing!
Not to mention the height!
These next two photos show the perspective as well:
We also had a yummy hot dog roast!
Lots of fun climbing around!
Dan had fun taking some pictures of Fall at the park.
And finally this one.  The red color attracted his attention and afterwards we saw Bethany in the lower right hand corner.  More perspective.
It was a perfect day in the Redwoods!
