Thanksgiving 2016!

We had a great Thanksgiving with the Perry family!

Thanks to Kathy for this "Gab While You Gobble" idea.

It worked out great!

Afterwards the Perrys had a program for us:

Hannah on the violin!

Jacob playing the piano!

Joshua was awarded a book.  It teaches him how to draw dinosaurs.  

He did a great job on T-Rex!

David showed us how good he is on Perplexus!

And Lily sang "Let It Go" with moral support from Hannah!

We were glad to hear that a fun Thanksgiving was had by all in Kansas as well!

My Grandkids Are So Awesome...

One Year Later: Hip Hooray!

Today I am celebrating the one year anniversary of my new hip!

Last year at this time for about 6 weeks I was using all of these tools...

...sleeping in the family room...

...getting daily shots from Dan...

...not going inside any store including grocery stores from November 15th to January 1st...

 

...and walking around with a candy cane...

There were lots of good things.  Dan prepared all my meals.   I even took a picture of this breakfast with a sausage mcmuffin and coffee cake that was so yummy.

People brought me and sent me gifts...

and grandkids made me artwork!

I got to go on lots of "light rides,"

I got to watch lots of Christmas movies, 

and I got to work on lots of Christmas puzzles.

It was actually a wonderful, calm Christmas!

Now one year later, I am happy to be able to walk much better.

Highlights included walking on the trails of Sea Ranch,

 being able to walk many places on our trip to Philadelphia,

and being able to do some shopping!

Volcanic Activity!

I had a great trip to Oregon!

I love seeing Mt. Hood.  It means that Portland (and Tualatin) are close by.

 This was from the plane when I was leaving because guess what?

It was raining when I arrived!

I got to spend time with my Dad and visit the Teuschers in Ridgefield, Washington for Haylee's 9th birthday!

These volcanoes are called The Three Sisters...

...and we were so glad to spend some time together!

(We occupied this booth from 11:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.)

And two more mini volcanoes reflecting some family news!

While I was gone, Nathaniel had his first day of preschool!

He will have a one-on-one nurse with him on the bus and at school. 

He will go Monday and Thursday.

Did he like his first day?  Hard to tell with Nathaniel but Amanda said "he was more excited to see a bus than to see me, so I think he will be fine!"
