Thanksgiving!

How to handle Thanksgiving during the pandemic?  Spread it over two days!

We decided it would be safe to visit the Melanchuks in Chico on Thanksgiving Day.

It was wonderful!!

We tried to be safe and careful around each other.  We saw this sign on the bathroom door.

Everything was just perfect especially the veggie tray, smoked turkey, stuffing, potatoes, creamed corn, apple pie, pumpkin pie and punch.

The whole family had assignments and helped with everything.

Afterwards we went on walk through the orchards.

Kathryn and I paused to take a picture of our shadows in the orchard.

We had a fun bingo game and fun Kahoot! game.

As we were leaving because we didn't take many pictures, I asked the kids to pose for me.

Then the next day the Perrys came to our backyard for lunch.

Lily and Joshua are working on a word search for Hannah's birthday.

There was lots of other fun too!

Jacob did a great job in decorating his cup.  It said: The brother of the birthday girl!

It was also a celebration of Hannah's 15th birthday!

There was some fun football action.

All the kids in both families got one of these candy bars as part of our bingo game.

#GiveThanks, Part 1!

I'm thankful that we have been able to have outside Church.  Here are a couple of photos of how it works.

There's the podium between the two people dressed in dark colors and the Sacrament table to the right of the brother.  There is a very good sound system that is used.

So thankful for the beautiful fall this year.  The colors have been extra vibrant!

Especially thankful for all of the teachers out there this year. They have been amazing for our 25 grandchildren in school.

Midsummer Night's Stream!

I hope Hannah won't mind but I wanted to show what the virtual play was like that Hannah was in last week.  Every cast member was performing at home on their own computer.  These are all screenshots. They were given the same backgrounds to use and had to know where the other actors were on the screen so they could turn in that direction if they spoke or reacted to them.  It was fascinating!  And it was a lot of fun to watch!!  Great job, Hannah!

Halloween At The Perrys!

Grandpa was able to go to the Perrys one evening and get a preview of their Haunted House!

It's hard to get good photos in the dark but this gives you an idea of the fun.

Lots of scary things...

...and scary people too!

I know their family, friends and neighbors enjoyed it a lot!

Meanwhile, Hannah was performing in the school play...upstairs in her room!
