This and That in September!

  Sam got a picture at the corner of Dan and Harrison streets in Ogden.

50 years ago we were living in Ogden and got pictures of two Dan Harrisons at that

intersection!

Speaking of Dan Harrison, he has been tracking his bike rides on the Strava app.  Since September 13th 2013 (10 years ago), he has ridden his bike 23,313 miles on 997 rides!!

It actually cooled off enough one day for Camille and Sarah to wear their new sweatshirts.

Sarah is trying to pick a dress for Homecoming.  

She recently got 100% on her AP Physics test!

Got to meet Reid and Kathy for lunch.  They were driving this Uhaul with the snakes on it from Walnut Creek, CA to Pocatello, ID.

John and Sara had a great harvest of peaches from their backyard!

Matthew was in an accident which totaled their 2000 Civic, a car they have owned for 23 years!  Fortunately he is OK.  

John took the girls on a hike in Farmington Canyon:

Kathryn turned 18 and got her flu shot.  

Fun family dinner on the 24th in Clinton!

Katie turned 18 today!

David turned 14 and we had a themed party for him:

Everyone had to take turns being Goliath in different contests with David.

It was lots of fun!

Our full time missionaries had some baptisms!

The Melanchuks invited us to an end-of-summer reward activity.

Here are some of the things they did during their 4 hours: Aerial adventure, rock climbing walls, rappel, via ferrata, and zipline.  I didn't know this but via ferrata means: iron path.  From the website: "From heights up to 40-feet above the quarry floor, you’ll scale the perimeter rock walls on a series of challenge elements, swinging bridges, and more."

MaryAnn and Brian took their Activity Days kids to the temple for a scavenger hunt.

Grandpa and I spent a lot of time in the temple in September. 

We even got to be part of a story that might be in the Liahona magazine.
