A Wet and Snowy Day!

During our past trip to Utah we spent a few hours at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper with John, Aubrey and Bethany.  We all loved it!
So many beautiful and interesting fish:
These are types of jellyfish:
A favorite was this Giant Pacific Octopus.  We watched it moving for quite a while and it was beautiful and graceful.
Bethany finally worked up the courage to touch a stingray.
They had an amazing tank that included a tunnel.  I looked straight up and took this picture!
Bethany thought this ray had a smiley face!
Sea turtle and shark overhead!
Fun photo op!
We also loved the penguin exhibit!  These were Gentoo penguins, the fastest swimmers.  And we saw one doing just that although they were too fast to get a photo.
I took this picture because quite a few of the exhibits had a little red elf.  It was fun for kids to spot them and made a Christmasy feeling.
These fish were enjoying a pumpkin!
The Ocean Explorer was the main exhibit but they also had Utah, Asia, and South America exhibits that were really interesting including bearcats or binturong and a clouded leopard from Asia, piranha and caiman from South America and this river otter from Utah:
That day was the first major snowfall of the year so when we got home, it was time for a snowball fight...
...and building snowman families!
It was a great way to start our trip!
