After all the traveling including 10 hours on one flight, we made it to
Athens, Greece! Photo above is from the plane--first view of Greece.
We drove from the airport 45 minutes on a highway built in 2004. Previous to that it took 2 hours. It was built for the Olympics.
There are 11 million people in Greece and 5 million plus in Athens.
Next photos are of the Acropolis at night from the top floor of our hotel.
We were at the Titania Hotel.
It was a very nice hotel and within easy walking distance of some historic buildings. It was interesting seeing Greek writing everywhere.
