Friday Fun!

We arrived just in time for some horseback riding!

Julia liked riding on Rio!

Neither Charles nor Elizabeth had ever ridden a horse before so naturally(?) they were given the most spirited horse: Flash! They had a wild ride according to Elizabeth!

Andrea kept Matthew happy in their tent. Katie took this picture with my camera.

She also took this one of me outside the tent.

And then we took one of Sarah!


It was also fun playing in the sand and jumping on the trampoline!

Those storm clouds were an omen of what was to come for the rest of the weekend but isn't the scenery beautiful!

Concerts and Cousins!

(First in a series about Memorial Day Weekend 2009)

We arrived in Utah Thursday afternoon and found the McClellan family already there! After dinner and a trip to the doctor for Matthew (an elastic belt broke as he was pulling on it and hit him in the eye), we all attended Julia's Choir Concert. Unfortunately my camera didn't work right during Julia's solo but Josh was videotaping it. It was amazing! Wow, Julia is talented. She sang a "scat" which any good singer will tell you is difficult. It was a fun concert!

Afterwards the kids all played in the tent set up in the backyard and some spent the night there.

The next morning Josh took Matthew to an eye specialist in Odgen while we all packed up and got ready to go. He came back with an eye patch, eye drops and instructions to stay calm all weekend! We were able to leave around 10:30 a.m. Here are Courtney and Elizabeth all buckled in and ready to go!

Blake House Reunion!

When Vovo and Grandpa Harrison lived at the Blake House near Berkeley, they hosted a reunion there.

We had a talent show one evening. Jeff is performing magic tricks.

We had several fun Knock Out tournaments:

I believe these cousins are all sucking on ice. There was a huge ice machine and the kids could get as much as they wanted.

Lake Tahoe Reunion 1994!

We hosted a reunion in 1994 at Lake Tahoe. Here is the whole group posing at the monument to the Donner Party:

This reunion was all about the "pool!" Here we are swimming at the pool at Northstar where we stayed:

Utah Reunions!

We had a couple of reunions in Utah. It was fun riding horses and having fun at the Bangerter farm!

We had two very fun reunions on the Moellers houseboat on Lake Powell!

Several of the kids had their first water skiing experiences:
