Checking Out Clinton!

We started our visit to Clinton by stopping at Outback in Layton where we met both Utah families for dinner.  Then some peach pie at Josh and Andrea's to celebrate Andrea's birthday!

We got to see John and Sara's new home and we loved it!

It has so many nice features.  They would love to give you a tour!

We spent Saturday with Josh and Andrea's family.  A highlight was going for lunch with Julia for some Filipino food.  Yummy!

Later, after helping Josh with a project, Grandpa tried out Josh's bicycle!

We played some games and enjoyed visiting with their family!

It was also fun spending some time with Aubrey and Bethany.

Aubrey is reading Harry Potter to Bethany before bed:

On Sunday we had an early celebration of Bethany's birthday.  She got to open the present from us.

Later after dinner, we had cake and ice cream!

We had both families as well as Courtney and Ben from Provo.

We had a fun game for everyone:

On Monday it was the first day of school for the Harrison girls.  We got to see Sara, Aubrey and Bethany off for the day.

4th grade for Bethany, 7th grade for Sophie and 10th grade for Katie!

Summer Visit, Part 2!

Trip to Bodega Bay.  Aubrey and Bethany had never seen the Pacific Ocean!

First stop: Schoolhouse Beach.  

The trick here was to not get wet when a big wave splashed over the rocks.

Then one more stop: Goat Rock Beach

Why does a seagull fly over the sea?  

Because if it flew over the bay, it would be a baygull!

How do we know the ocean is friendly?

It waves!

What does Cinderella wear at the beach?

Glass flippers!

Why don't oysters share their pearls?

Because they are shellfish!

What is a sea monster's favorite meal?

Fish and ships!

Why did the whale cross the ocean?

To get to the other tide!

Why did the cantaloupe jump in the ocean?

It wanted to be a watermelon!

What did the ocean say to the beach?

I'm not shore!

What did the mermaid use to call her friends?

A shell phone!

What did the shovel say to the bucket on the beach?

Are you okay?  You're looking a little pail!

Why is the sand under the dock so resistant?

It doesn't give into pier pressure!

Where does seaweed look for a job?

In the Kelp-wanted ads!

Which are the strongest creatures in the ocean?

Mussels!

We loved having John, Sara, Aubrey and Bethany here!

Hoverboards were a big hit after the first time around with help.

Then it was easy and fun!

They even made up a show for us!

First time around for John and then he was an expert!
