Missing the Temple!

We have really missed serving in the temple.  The last time we were inside was Saturday, March 14th.  One evening we decided to go up to the temple grounds.  It was very quiet.  The gate in front of the building was locked.
Ours was the only car in the whole big parking lot!
We walked all around the park and parking lot seeing the Angel Moroni from different locations.

Then two days later on a Friday evening we went again.  There were six cars in the parking lot and 6 different families scattered around the area.  Some were having a picnic and some were playing frisbee and other games.  We even knew one of the families and said Hello from a distance. This time the gate was unlocked and we were able to walk around the temple.  Here are some views from the sides and back:
The park grounds are beautiful too!
It felt like a big event each time to make these little visits.
Hoping to go back inside before too long!

Ward Parade: Welcome Home and Good Bye!

We had four missionaries return home in one week.
Our ward organized a car parade to drive by each of their houses and "Welcome" them home.
We also drove by the house of a family that was moving the next weekend so we could honk, wave and say, "Good Bye."
It was very fun to participate in and to see some of the ward families we hadn't seen for weeks.
We had a sign and some balloons for our car.
Copies from social media of what the missionaries were seeing.
We met at 6:30 and just followed along!
We added our own distinctive touch: Pictures of the temple on both sides of our car!

Let's Laugh!

“The only way to get through life is to laugh your way through it. You either have to laugh or cry. I prefer to laugh. Crying gives me a headache.”

― Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Who hasn't laughed about the run on toilet paper?

"Shelves in the closet.  Happy thought indeed."

Commemorative jewelry:
Earthquake and the Angel Moroni!
Social distancing
And now we're dealing with masks.  Everyone looks so mysterious.  I wish more people were wearing these masks!

Getting Ready for Easter!

Even though we will be having Easter sheltered at home by ourselves, I still put up some Easter decorations!
 And I did this puzzle!
I love that everyone has one of these: An Easter creche or Resurrectivity:
Beautiful chalk drawing on the fence at the Perrys:
And I couldn't resist putting these up:
