Hello September! Time to leaf behind summer!
September is busy with lots of school things
but here are a few highlights.
Bethany had a post-birthday activity of Indoor Surfing!
The whole family tried it out!
Saturday evening they attended the symphony to listen and watch Harry Potter.
Dinner at Cheesecake Factory is always fun too.
Pumpkin and Chocolate Tuxedo were the choices.
Baby Lilian came home from the NICU!
But first she got to meet Aunt Sarah...
...and Aunt Camille!
The Aunts had fun with Caleb on his "bike."
Meeting big brother!
Courtney's Grandma, Karoleen, made this dress for Courtney
and now Lilian can wear it!
It feels so relaxing to be home!
Caleb calls his Grandpa Charles, "Grandpa Cougar" so
very appropriate that they have matching shirts!
First football game of the season was a family affair!
Can't break the tradition even if you are in college!
First day of classes for Sarah...
...and first day of classes for Elizabeth!
Camille performing in the band at the State Fair!
Daniel is on the Cross Country team.
They recently had "formal night."
They dress up, have dinner, a speaker and then...
...they all take a run around the track!
Recent Deacon's Quorum activity:
The Melanchuks need to remove these two trees from their yard,
so they have gotten started.
Playing Cover Your Kingdom one Sunday afternoon:
Amanda wants to take advantage of the special things about living in Utah.
Visiting Church sites including the
Brigham Young family cemetery in downtown Salt Lake City...
...and a free daily organ concert at noon in the Tabernacle!
They also enjoyed a BYU soccer game against Weber State in Ogden.
Syracuse Temple for baptisms
Bountiful Temple for Amanda while the kids are in school.
Kathryn has been to the temple and had a baptism!
And she celebrated her 20th birthday!
Grandpa's 12 stitches should be coming out later this week.
Why do birds fly south in September?
Because it's quicker than walking!
Why did Humpty Dumpty love September?
Because Humpty Dumpty had a great fall!
Grandkid: Grandpa, what is your favorite holiday in September?
Grandpa: The start of BYU football season.
Grandkid: That's not a holiday.
Grandpa: It should be!
